We’re back at ADE’s Playground this year and we’ve got an exciting couple of days for festival-goers to revel in: interactive workshops, Q&As, live performances from local and international artists – all topped off with exclusive DJsounds broadcasts from none other than Eats Everything and Jon1st.
ADE is one of the most important platforms for electronic dance music in the world, attracting 5,000 music industry professionals from over 100 countries. During the day you can join debates, panels, Q&As, workshops and hands-on demonstrations by important players in the dance industry. At night the city attracts the best of the international dance culture to the ADE festival featuring DJs and artists from around the globe.
We’ll be at Vlaams Cultuurhuis, De Brakke Grond, so it feels right to make it home to record two epic DJsounds shows. Come along on Thursday from 5pm to see the world-DMC-title-winning turntablist Jon1st put our PLX-1000s through their paces in the first show.
For the second show, on Friday at 5.30pm, we’re ecstatic to have the larger-than-life Eats Everything joining us. We’re feeling blessed because Eats has squeezed us into his relentless touring schedule, which includes gigs in London, Ibiza, Sydney, LA and New York. So come along, pull up a beanbag and watch the beat master at work.
ADE comes hot on the heels of the launch of rekordbox dj performance software, the latest rekordbox Plus Pack allowing DJs to perform directly from their rekordbox library. Our very own Jeroen Groenendijk will be running short workshops to bring you up to speed on the features and functions, and answer all your questions. You can also try out the new, rekordbox dj-ready DDJ-RZ and DDJ-RX controllers.
Last year at ADE, we launched KUVO, our website and app that unites dance music lovers with new music, DJs and clubs. One year on and our Product Specialist, Rik Parkinson, is back to answer all your questions and update the underground music community on all the latest developments in a KUVO Q&A session.
Obviously you can’t spend all your time with us, but if you can tear yourself away, look out for the PLX-1000 turntable, DJM-900NXS and CDJ-2000NXS dotted around the show – have a play and let us know what you think. And don’t forget to enter the ADE Demolition competition and win a DDJ-RZ controller.
