Compatible with rekordbox CloudDirectPlay

Simply connect the CDJ-3000 to the internet via a Pro DJ Link connection with a LAN cable to start using rekordbox CloudDirectPlay. In advance, you’ll export an authentication key from rekordbox to a USB storage device which, when plugged into the CDJ-3000, enables you to browse and play all the tracks in your cloud-based library.

StreamingDirectPlay

Browse and play the latest tracks from the Beatport Streaming* platform directly from the CDJ-3000, with access to playlists of various genres and tracks from your pre-created My Playlist. Automatic BPM and grid analysis enables you to check the development of a song on the waveform display. And you can use Beat Sync and quantize for intuitive and accurate beat matching and mixing.

Analyze tracks quicker with Cloud Analysis

When loading track on a CDJ-3000 connected to the internet, the BPM, beatgrid, and waveform can be instantly acquired from AlphaTheta's track information database and used for your performance. This enables rapid and accurate beat matching and mixing using Beat Sync and quantize, even with tracks from supported streaming services, removing the need for song analysis on the CDJ-3000. Cloud Analysis is available to all rekordbox users.

We’ve revolutionized the way the CDJ is driven with its new MPU, making it smoother and more stable than its predecessors. The MPU’s processing power allows for new functions and lets us introduce more features in future updates.

Pro DJ Link with Gigabit ethernet

Thanks to the Gigabit Ethernet connection for Pro DJ Link, you can share and play audio files from USB devices and SD cards on up to 6 CDJ-3000 units when you combine them with a compatible 6-channel mixer such as the DJM-V10.

Better screen visibility

The maximum screen brightness has been improved by more than 150% compared to that on the CDJ-2000NXS2, so you can crank it up depending on the environment you’re playing in and improve visibility.

Tougher components

The high-quality aluminum top plate and redesigned play, cue, and Hot Cue buttons are stronger than ever. Also, the lockable V-Lock power cable* guards against accidental disconnections that could interrupt your show.

Full audio file caching

The cache of the CDJ-3000 can now handle a full audio file. This means a track will continue to play until the end – even if there’s an unexpected problem such as poor connection of the LAN cable in the Pro DJ Link network.

The CDJ-3000 unifies audio calculation processing to 96 kHz/32-bit floating in all playable audio formats . Hear the nuances of the original sound source – like depth, ambience, and shifts in the timbre of the low range – for realistic spatial sound and a musical bass sound.

A natural sound – easy to listen to for long, high-volume sets

To maximize performance from the DAC (digital-to-analog converter), we’ve improved the circuit that outputs analog audio. We’ve also tuned the digital audio for optimum sound quality, hugely reducing digital noise, to create a natural sound that will keep crowds listening.

Touch Preview

Audition any part of a track by touching its waveform in the right place in the browse section. With multiple CDJ-3000 players connected to the DJM-V10 or DJM-900NXS2 mixer via Pro DJ Link, you can even preview tracks from another player with Link Cue.

Touch Cue

Listen to another part of the track that’s playing by touching the waveform – the crowd won’t hear you. Learn the progression of a track and identify a mix point — useful during DJ handovers and back-to-back sets. Use Link Cue to listen to a track on another player.

Stacked Waveform

Keep an eye on the enlarged waveform of the track on the master player and the one you want to cue up, all on one screen. Identify mix points and visually check the beatgrids are perfectly lined up at a glance.

Support for 3Band Waveform

Understand a track’s sound without even listening to it. 3Band Waveform uses different colors to show the volume of each frequency band in files analyzed by rekordbox, so you can see a track’s composition at a glance. RGB and blue waveform options are also available.

Key Sync and Key Shift

Hit the Key Sync button and the CDJ-3000 will automatically adjust the key of the next track to match the one on the master deck, helping you craft a smooth and harmonic mix. With Key Shift on the touch screen, you can manually shift the key of a track up or down.

Eight Hot Cue buttons

Intuitively trigger Hot Cues via the 8 buttons that run from left to right underneath the waveform display. The linear positioning makes it feel more natural to select cue points according to their position in the track.

Dedicated Beat Jump buttons

Jump forward or backward from the current playback position in the track by pressing the dedicated Beat Jump buttons. You can set the quantized number of beats to a value of 1/2, 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, or 64 beats.

Advanced Auto Beat Loop section

As well as the popular 4-Beat Loop control from the CDJ-2000NXS2, the CDJ-3000 includes an 8-Beat Loop button for further creative options. Want to make polyrhythmic loops? Use the expanded options for odd-numbered loops to remix sounds on the fly.

Flexible performance options

Play rekordbox-analyzed music from USB drives via Export mode. Connect a laptop with USB-HID control to use Link Export or use Performance mode for free. Or connect your iPhone to the CDJ-3000 via a USB cable with a Lightning to USB3 Camera Adapter (sold separately) and mix from rekordbox for iOS.

Sync your sounds with lights thanks to compatibility with the new Pro DJ Link Lighting feature. The CDJ-3000 sends phrase analysis information to rekordbox (PC/Mac) so you can control lighting effects via the RB-DMX1 (available separately) and take your show to the next level.

By connecting a DJ setup including the CDJ-3000 to all ShowKontrol products via PRO DJ LINK, you can sync lighting, video displays, and pyrotechnics in real time with audio played on the CDJ-3000.
