EDC Japan 2018 highlights

Catch up on all of the action from Electric Daisy Carnival Japan, including wild visuals, splashes of energy and NXS2 mastery.

No amount of rain could dampen the vibe at Electric Daisy Carnival Japan. Held from May 12 to 13, DJs including Steve Aoki, Martin Garrix, Above & Beyond, Deadmau5, Gryffin, Illenium, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Diplo, Don Diablo, W&W, Camelphat, Chris Lake, Kayzo, Solardo, NGHTMRE & Slander, Party Favor, Yamato, Yousef and more blew minds in Chiba despite the wet weather - which some really made the most of.

"Pouring rain all day and one of the craziest shows energy wise I've done in a long time!" wrote Martin Garrix post-gig, while Yousef admired the party perseverance. "The Japanese people still dance in the wet, stay happy and appreciative," said the DJ on Instagram. "This country never ceases to amaze me."

Chis Lake and Yamato managed to fit in some sunshine sounds while Deadmau5 brought us a visually stunning show. When the temperature dropped, Solardo warmed us up with a firing set on the CDJ-2000NXS2s and DJM-900NXS2.

Add to that the face paint, pyrotechnics and hypnotic visuals that are characteristic of every Electric Daisy Carnival and you had a festival for all of the senses.
