Schools in Italy

Take a DJ skills course at the Music Academy Rimini and you’ll follow in the footsteps of countless students who’ve attended the northern Italian school since it opened in 2009. Every Saturday and Sunday, DJ students show off their skills in the Academy Deejay Twitch and Mixcloud stream, and many alumni have progressed to professional careers in the music industry. The MEC Academy in the heart of Naples is dedicated to education in the new digital, musical and visual arts. The academy features two main classrooms, a recording studio, a voice recording room and a relaxation area, and uses Pioneer DJ audio equipment. All teachers are professionals with many years’ experience in their respective fields and share their theoretical and practical knowledge and skills with passion.

NAM is a Music Academy with two locations in Milan and accredited for legally recognized certifications by the European Union. Since 1987 NAM has been offering professional training in the fields of Music, Audio Technology, DJ and Sound Design.

Schools in the Netherlands

DJ School International, located in the Dutch town of Breda, offers everything from DJ Junior Classes (for ages 6 to 9) to advanced and professional classes that teach you how to master a club-standard CDJ setup. Production classes are available too, as well as a combined DJ/Producer course if you’re interested in doing it all.

Learn to DJ at the Amsterdam-based Pro DJ School. You’ll gain a full range of mixing skills with the DJ Total Skills Course, which even offers opportunities to play sets in partner venues in the city. Or you could develop your music career with the intensive 3-month DJ Producer Course that teaches combined skills in a small class.

Schools in Spain

Plastic Academy aims to give you the knowledge and tools you’ll need to make it as a professional DJ. Courses can be taken at several venues located across Spain, and online learning is also available. Graduates benefit from events and opportunities organized by the school, as well as a chance to appear on Plastic Academy’s weekly podcast, Out of the Box.

Microfusa offers tuition in DJing and production, while also offering formal qualifications in sound engineering and Pro Tools. Courses are run in Madrid and Barcelona, with online instruction and weekend courses available too. 

At the Ibiza Blau Music International Digital School, you can choose from in-depth DJing and Production courses. Classes offer tuition on DJ techniques, Ableton Live, musical theory, and more. The school also hosts classes and services tailored to children and adults with special needs.

Develop your DJ and production skills at the Audio Master Academy Musiluz. The Malaga-based institution offers in-depth programs in DJing, producing, and sound engineering. You’ll benefit from small class sizes with lots of one-on-one instruction and the school runs its own record label, which you might have the chance to release your tracks on.

With a teaching team including sound engineers, composers, internationally renowned DJs, and music technology experts, you’ll get a high level of training at the advanced music school Xpresate in Zaragoza. The in-depth professional DJ course teaches you how to use a wide range of Pioneer DJ gear including CDJs and units from the TORAIZ range.

Upgrade your electronic music production and DJ skills with Skapade Studios. You can take advantage of free resources such as video training, sample packs, and artist interviews first, then upgrade to become a member if you want to go to the next level. 

On the Rise Academy has DJ courses for everyone, whether you want mixing to be a part-time hobby, or you’re set on becoming a professional selector. The London-based school specializes in bespoke one-on-one instruction so you can take a course on a variety of subjects tailored to you, such as DJ skills, rekordbox, digital file management, scratching, and more.

Turn your ideas into tracks with the help of Point Blank Music School. Famous graduates include Goldie, Patrick Topping, and Claude VonStroke to name a few. The school offers degree and higher education programs in music production, as well as shorter practical courses in DJ skills.  

Make Me A DJ started out in the Beehive Mill in Manchester, situated above the famous Manchester nightclub, Sankeys. As their reputation and number of students grew, they sought out larger accommodation.
