Structure of the organisation
AlphaTheta Corporation is a global company specialising in the design, manufacture and sale of Pioneer DJ products and Professional Audio products. AlphaTheta Corporation is the parent company based in Japan, with three subsidiaries: AlphaTheta EMEA Limited (formerly Pioneer DJ Europe Limited), AlphaTheta Music Americas, Inc, (formerly Pioneer DJ America’s, Inc,) and AlphaTheta (Shanghai) Co. Ltd (formerly Pioneer DJ (Shanghai) Co. Ltd).
AlphaTheta EMEA Limited based in the UK is responsible for sales within Europe, the Middle East and Africa. AlphaTheta Music Americas, Inc based in the US is responsible for sales in the Americas and AlphaTheta (Shanghai) Co. Ltd is responsible for sales in China. The AlphaTheta Group employees approximately 400+ people worldwide.
AlphaTheta EMEA Limited has annual turnover of approximately €100,000,000.
In order to manufacture and distribute our products, we work with a range of suppliers.
Policies
As part of our commitment to combating modern slavery, we ensure our contractual terms with key suppliers have obligations to comply with modern slavery legislation, and they comply with our Anti-Slavery Policy. In addition, all our staff are required to comply with our Charter of Corporate Behaviour, Code of Conduct, Compliance Program and Anti-Slavery Policy.
Due Diligence
As part of our efforts to monitor and reduce the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring, we have introduced a checklist specifically on anti-slavery for use with key suppliers.
We undertake a "right to work" check on all direct employees prior to them commencing their roles in our company. This includes, where applicable, that the employee has a valid visa and is of an appropriate age to work.
Training
We invest in educating our staff to recognize the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains. This is mandatory training for all staff. Through our training programme, employees are encouraged to identify and report any potential breaches of our Anti-Slavery Policy. This statement is made in accordance with section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes AlphaTheta EMEA Limited's Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking statement for the financial year ending 31st December 2021.
