Sometimes other issues can cause the same symptom to occur. In these cases, the problem can be solved by following the steps detailed here.

Symptoms

When the DJ application you’re running on Windows® 10 doesn’t detect your Pioneer DJ equipment, the error message below will appear.

  The error message below pops up when you select the driver software at the [Audio] tab in the [Preferences] menu for the Pioneer DJ product you use.

• Serato DJ
  After the error message; "Audio connection failed. Retrying..." appears in the main panel of Serato DJ, the error below appears for three seconds only.

Windows® 10 versions where the above symptom may occur: 1607 and later
How to check which version of Windows® 10 you’re using:

1. Click the Start button [].
   
   
2. Click the Settings icon [].
   
   
3. Click the System icon [].
   
   
4. Click [About] to see the version number.
