List of MIDI Messages

DDJ-SP1 works with other MIDI-compatible software besides Serato DJ Pro, by assigning MIDI message. Please refer to the list of MIDI message to find mapping values of all buttons and knobs. To assign MIDI message to all the software functions, please refer to your manufacturers' software manual. When using this unit as a controller for operating MIDI-compatible software other than Serato DJ Pro, change the setting to use software other than Serato DJ Pro at the utility settings.

For details, please refer to the "Using DJ software other than Serato DJ Pro" within the Operating Instructions.

Please do not run multiple DJ Software on your computer at the same time. When switching from one DJ software to use another, please disconnect the USB cable from DDJ-SP1 or Mac/PC, and then power back on after software switch has been completed.

DDJ-SP1 supports Serato's SCRATCH LIVE.
SCRATCH LIVE setting file is required when Serato SCRATCH LIVE Ver.2.5.0 is used with DDJ-SP1.

DDJ-SP1 supports the Serato DJ Pro, which offers a great number of functions required for DJ performances. All of this unit's buttons and controls are preset to work with the software, so DJ performances can be conducted simply by connecting this unit to a computer.

• A separate Serato DJ Pro-certified mixer (e.g. DJM-900SRT) or controller (e.g. DDJ-S1) is required.
• Please update to Serato DJ Pro Ver.1.5.0. or later.

Serato DJ Intro and Serato DJ have been renamed and are now known as Serato DJ Lite and Serato DJ Pro, respectively.
If you currently use Serato DJ, you can continue to use Serato DJ Pro for free.

Operating environment for Serato DJ Pro

For the latest information on the operating environment of Serato DJ Pro, please visit Serato.com.

• Operation is not guaranteed on all computers, even if all the required operating environment conditions indicated here are fulfilled.
• Depending on the computer’s power-saving settings, etc., the CPU and hard disk may not provide sufficient processing capabilities. For laptop in particular, make sure the computer is in the proper conditions to provide constant high performance (for example by keeping the AC power connected) when using Serato DJ Pro.

DDJ-SP1 supports Native Instruments DJ software, TRAKTOR PRO 2.

TRAKTOR PRO 2 setting File is required when Native Instruments TRAKTOR PRO 2 Ver.2.6.3 is used with DDJ-SP1.

Precautions:

• Please update to the latest firmware of DDJ-SP1 (Ver.1.01 or later).
• Please update to TRAKTOR PRO 2 Ver.2.6.3.
• Traktor's response time on the [Preferences] screen may slow down after importing the settings file depending on your computer's spec, but you will have no problem using this software.
