List of MIDI Messages

DDJ-SX2 works with other MIDI-compatible software besides Serato DJ Pro, by assigning MIDI message. Please refer to the list of MIDI message to find mapping values of all buttons and knobs. To assign MIDI message to all software function, please refer to your manufacturers' software manual. DDJ-SX2 automatically works in optimum operation mode depending on whether Serato DJ Pro is running. Even though Serato DJ Pro is running, you can forcefully operate DDJ-SX2 as a general MIDI controller by changing the setting of the Utilities mode. For details, please refer to the "Forcefully using the unit as the general MIDI controller" within the Operating Instructions.

Please do not run multiple DJ Software on your computer at the same time. When switching from one DJ software to use another, please turn the DDJ-SX2 power off and then power back on after software switch has been completed.

[SAVED FLIP] during the DUAL DECK mode is newly supported by Serato DJ Pro 1.7.2. When you use Serato DJ Pro 1.7.2, the firmware of DDJ-SX2 should be updated to version 1.05 or later.

PITCH PLAY MODE IS NOW SUPPORTED.

Pitch Play mode is available on Serato DJ Pro 1.9.6.
To use Pitch Play mode, you need the Pitch 'n Time DJ Expansion Pack.

When Serato DJ Pro is launched after it is installed, a yellow icon saying “BUY/ACTIVATE” might be displayed in the License section on the right side of the Serato DJ Pro screen. DDJ-SX2 users do not have to activate or buy Serato DJ Pro.

Operating environment for Serato DJ Pro

For the latest information on the operating environment of Serato DJ Pro, please visit Serato.com.

• Operation is not guaranteed on all computers, even if all the required operating environment conditions indicated here are fulfilled.
• Depending on the computer’s power-saving settings, etc., the CPU and hard disk may not provide sufficient processing capabilities. For notebook computers in particular, make sure the computer is in the proper conditions to provide constant high performance (for example by keeping the AC power connected) when using Serato DJ Pro.

Those who purchased DDJ-SX2 can use Serato Flip features with no extra price.

DDJ-SX2 supports the DJ Software TRAKTOR PRO 2 from Native Instruments.
The Setting File is required to be imported and TRAKTOR PRO 2 should be updated to Ver.2.6.8 when TRAKTOR PRO2 is used with DDJ-SX2. Also, the firmware of DDJ-SX2 itself is required to be updated to ver. 1.03 or later.
