List of MIDI Messages

DDJ-SX works with other MIDI-compatible software besides Serato DJ Pro, by assigning MIDI message. Please refer to the list of MIDI message to find mapping values of all buttons and knobs. To assign MIDI message to all software function, please refer to your manufacturers' software manual. When using this unit as a controller for operating MIDI-compatible software other than Serato DJ Pro, change the setting to use software other than Serato DJ Pro at the utility settings. For details, please refer to the "Using DJ software other than Serato DJ Pro" within the Operating Instructions.

Please do not run multiple DJ Software on your computer at the same time. When switching from one DJ software to use another, please turn the DDJ-SX power off and then power back on after software switch has been completed.

DDJ-SX supports the latest DJ Software TRAKTOR PRO 2 from Native Instruments now. Please use this Setting File in this page when you use DDJ-SX as a controller for "TRAKTOR PRO 2 Ver 2.6.8". This Setting File is required when Native Instruments TRAKTOR PRO 2 Ver.2.6.8 is used with DDJ-SX. There are some precautions before using.

Note: Depending on your computer's spec, the reaction of the [Preferences] window may get slow after importing the settings file. However, such behaviors would not cause any problem of the application itself.

PITCH PLAY MODE IS NOW SUPPORTED.

Pitch Play mode is available on Serato DJ Pro 1.9.6.
To use Pitch Play mode, you need the Pitch 'n Time DJ Expansion Pack sold separately.

When Serato DJ Pro is launched after it is installed, a yellow icon saying “ACTIVATE/BUY Serato DJ Pro” might be displayed in the License section on the right side of the Serato DJ Pro screen. DDJ-SX users do not have to activate or buy Serato DJ Pro. If you tick the check box of [DO NOT SHOW AGAIN] and click [License], the icon will disappear thereafter.

Simple Sync:
Serato DJ Pro 1.1 introduces Simple Sync functionality for both 2 and 4 deck controllers.
Simple Sync is an easy way of Tempo Matching and Transient Snapping your tracks together without using beatgrids.
You will notice Simple Sync is selected when you run 1.1 for the first time.

If you would like to continue using Smart Sync (as you were in version 1.0) you simply need to go to the Serato DJ Pro Setup screen and select 'Smart Sync' as your Sync type in the DJ Preferences tab.

Your sync option will be remembered when you close and re-open the software.

For the latest information on the operating environment of Serato DJ Pro, please visit Serato.com.

• Operation is not guaranteed on all computers, even if all the required operating environment conditions indicated here are fulfilled.
• Depending on the computer’s power-saving settings, etc., the CPU and hard disk may not provide sufficient processing capabilities. For laptop in particular, make sure the computer is in the proper conditions to provide constant high performance (for example by keeping the AC power connected) when using Serato DJ Pro.
