An update for DJM-REC, a live streaming and recording iOS/iPadOS app for DJs

Live stream on various social media platforms while displaying information about the tracks you’re playing.

We’ve made an update to our DJM-REC app to enable high-quality live streaming on various social media platforms.

DJM-REC is an app for DJs which enables easy recording and sharing of mixes for effortless self-promotion to global audiences when you connect it with AlphaTheta DJ mixers* via a USB cable. You can download the app for free from the App Store and try paid features free for 30 days.

High-quality live streaming capabilities

DJM-REC now has a live streaming function in the app, making it easy to stream live in high quality on various social media platforms.
Connect your iPhone or iPad via a single USB cable to compatible DJ mixers featuring Send/Return terminals and select the live streaming platform from DJM-REC to start streaming.
You can now stream with Mixcloud Live and Restream as well as Twitch, YouTube, Facebook Live, Instagram, Snapchat, and other platforms.
Please check with each service for the condition of its live streaming support.

Display information about the tracks you play in your stream

By connecting the CDJ-3000 with the DJM-A9, DJM-V10, or DJM-V10-LF, you can now display the name of the track and artist currently playing during your live stream so the audience can see it in real time. By simply connecting to DJM-REC without any other application needed, track information can be easily incorporated into live streaming, further deepening the connection with the audience, and enhancing the live stream experience.

Easy and high-quality recording of DJ mixes

Easily record in high quality by connecting your iPhone/iPad to a compatible DJ mixer with a single USB cable. The DJM-REC app controls the peak limiter in the DJ mixer to minimize digital clipping and distortion, allowing you to capture DJ mixes and analog recordings in high quality.
If your DJ mixer isn’t directly compatible with the app, you can connect an audio interface and microphone for recording and live streaming.
It’s easy to tune recorded audio to create a club sound, with sound pressure and bass adjustment processing in the app, and you can easily share recordings to services such as Mixcloud and SoundCloud without needing to process or edit them in DAW software.
Even better, when the CDJ-3000 is combined with the DJM-A9, DJM-V10, or DJM-V10-LF and connected to DJM-REC, a track list is automatically created with the names of the tracks and artists in the recorded data, enabling efficient management of mixes.
