Our response to the fire incident at the Asahi Kasei Microdevices factory

Following a fire on October 20, 2020 at a factory owned by Asahi Kasei Microdevices, we’ve experienced a lack of supply of certain electronic components used in some of our products.

In response, we’ve replaced the affected parts with alternative components produced by other manufacturers in the products specified below:

  • DJM-750MK2
  • XDJ-XZ
  • DDJ-1000
  • DDJ-1000SRT

As part of these changes, the D/A converter in the above products will change from 32-bit to 24-bit.
In the CDJ-3000 professional DJ multi player, we’ve replaced the AKM 32-bit D/A converter with an alternative 32-bit D/A converter component.

Rest assured, we’ve selected these new components based on strict criteria. After rigorous testing, our sound engineers have carefully fine-tuned each component and found no perceptible difference in the sound quality produced by these products as a result of the changes.
